Clearer Thinking
Clearer Thinking is a team of experts with a proven track record in delivering facilitation, environmental training and advice. We are known for providing a flexible and quality service with our clients regularly returning to use our services.
Clearer Thinking was founded by Pete Spriggs, who has worked as a facilitator and environmental trainer for over fifteen years. Previously Pete worked at the leading sustainability charities Forum for the Future and Waste Watch; and the learning team at Losehill Hall, Peak District National Park Authority. He has built a reputation as a confident and experienced facilitator and trainer, taking pride in ensuring his work has clear objectives and fully involves all those present. He set up Clearer Thinking to deliver accessible, engaging and relevant training alongside his expertise in group facilitation.
Working from Buxton in the Derbyshire Peak District Pete manages a range of projects, drawing in expertise from the pool of Clearer Thinking Associates to deliver the right expertise for the job.
Environmental information
At Clearer Thinking we are trying to do what we can to reduce our environmental impact. Our current environmental actions include:
Energy
• LED lighting used throughout our office
• Energy efficient white goods
• 100% renewable energy tariff with Good Energy
• Seven day programmable heating controls with individual thermostatic radiator valves throughout the office
• All windows are double glazed
Water
• Low flush WCs
• ‘A’ grade water efficient dishwasher
• Water meter to identify usage and help identify leaks
Waste
• Ink cartridges refilled and (eventually) recycled
• Items bought in bulk to reduce packaging waste
• Paper, metal, glass, cardboard, plastics and food waste recycling in operation
Travel
• Public transport options used where viable
• Extensive use of tele and video conferencing to reduce travel emissions
• Fuel efficient driving training undertaken
Procurement
• Purchase 100% recycled office paper
• Eco friendly cleaning products used throughout the office
• Any print jobs specify chlorine free, recycled paper and vegetable ink dyes

Mandy Sims
Mandy is an expert practitioner in the field of personal and professional development. She uses her years of experience as an environmental trainer and facilitator, as well as being a qualified Practitioner of NLP to offer excellent quality coaching, training and facilitation. She offers training in the areas of environmental education, learning outside the classroom, environmental and heritage interpretation and fundraising.
John Stannard
John is an experienced learning and development professional with more than twenty five years working with public, private and not for profit sector clients. He specialises in providing innovative approaches to individual management and organisational development issues. He is a qualified coach and mentor and runs his own business ‘John Stannard, Coaching Plus’.
